ADATA Technology SE880 Overview

Built using the 20 Gb/s USB 3.2 Gen 2×2 standard, the 1TB SE880 USB 3.2 Gen 2×2 External SSD from ADATA is compatible with Windows, Mac, Android, iPad Pro, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, and PS5. Built with a compact form factor that has a volume of 28cc, which is smaller than an AirPods case, it delivers sequential read and write speeds of up to 2000 MB/s, while remaining compatible with older USB standards, including 10 Gb/s USB 3.2 Gen 2 (3.1 Gen 2 / 3.1), 5 Gb/s USB 3.2 Gen 1 (3.1 Gen 1 / 3.0), and 480 Mb/s USB 2.0. Connectivity to your host system is established using a USB-C interface and included USB-C to USB-C or USB-C to USB-A cables, which also provide bus power.

Note: To achieve maximum advertised speeds, please make sure your computer or host device is certified to support the 20 Gb/s USB 3.2 Gen 2×2 connection. Apple devices, including those with Thunderbolt/USB4, do not support 20 Gb/s USB 3.2 Gen 2×2 and will be limited to 10 Gb/s USB 3.2 Gen 2.

Speed Ahead with USB 3.2 Gen 2×2 The SE880 supports USB 3.2 Gen 2×2, capable of reaching transmission speeds of 20 Gb/s (2000 MB/s). This is twice as fast as USB 3.2 Gen 2 and four times faster than USB 3.2 Gen 1. Read Speeds of up to 2000 MB/s The SE880 is capable of reaching read/write speeds of up to 2000 MB/s, which is roughly 20 times faster than ordinary external hard drives, which only reach about 100 MB/s. This allows you to directly perform intensive task right on the SE880, whether is A/V editing or other applications. Made for On the Go The compact and lightweight Se880 can easily be held in the palm of your hand or placed into bags or pockets for user-friendly portability. Toolless Assembly Supporting many of the latest game consoles, the SE880 is ideal for storing all your games without out taking up too much physical space.
